  • As part of our church's 40th Anniversary Celebration, we would like you to participate in a Slogan Contest.  Your own uplifting praiseful, and joyous saying will be teh official CGBC 40th Anniversary slogan!  What we are looking for:  Maximum length: 8 words; Theme: Reflection; Thanksgiving, and vision: to glorify God for all these years.  Deadline: Wednesday, June 30, 2010, 12:00 midnight.  All entries will enter in the drawing in Father's Day (June 20, 2010).  This contest is open to all members & non-members.  The celebration Planning Committee will determine the winner.  Announcement will be made August 8, 2010.  (Limited to 3 entries per person).  Entry form can be picked up and returned to a special box in the vestibule.  
  • Next Sunday is Communion Sunday.  Please prepary your heart throughout the week to partake the Lord's Supper.
  • CGBC is planning to host an end-of-the-year Block Party for Bella Vista Elementary School families on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Bella Vista Park from 11:00am - 2:00pm.  We are in need of volunteers to help setup, staff games and booths, prepare and cook food, and clean up.  If you are interested, please contact Nick Tam.
  • Our annual Summer Program will start on June 21st till August 27th.  If you are interested or know anyone who is interested, please contact Christin Jow or Brian Yu for more information.  Please keep this program as well as the VBS activity in your prayers.
  • June 13 is Graduation Sunday.  Family & friends of the 2010 graduates are cordially invited to celebrate with us.  The English program will start at 9:30 am in the Sanctuary.

Prayers and Praises

  • Pray for the church summer program and Vacation Bible School (VBS).  Ask the holy Spirit to work through Christin Jow and Brian Yu as they seek to be attentive to God's leadership and planning.
  • Be a "Green Church".  Pray that God will enable us to be better stewards by turning off lights, reducing waste and conserving energy.
  • Remember those who are physically sick and emotionally hurting.  Ask for God's healing hand and comforting words.
  • Ask God to bless and strengthen out troops as they serve our country overseas and around the globe.
  • Faithfully praise God for our church summer mission team-- the "World Changers".  Pray fro Christian unity and servitude.
